Q: What are the rules of the league?

A: The 3on3 Summer League will follow the WMBA 3on3 basketball rules.  Rules can be found in full detail here.


Q: How do I register me and my team?

A: Once you have read through the rules of the league and know which division and district you want to play in, you can register here!  Teams must have a minimum of 4 players and a maximum of 5 players.


Q: How do I register my team through the 3x3planet website?

A: First, you need to create or use an existing profile. Once you've created a profile you just need to find the events tab and click on WMBA 3 on 3 Summer League event. When you get to WMBA 3 on 3 Summer League event page locate the district and age division most appropriate for your team. Now follow these steps:

  • Select the appropriate category once again to confirm you've chosen the correct one
  • Input your team name and agree with the terms and condtion ensuring the box is checked
  • Search for your friends on the 3on3planet if you cant find them, simply add your players names and emails 
  • Finish of by paying through paypal and your done

Individual players should receive an email prompting them to register once the team registration has been completed.  


Q: How do I know which division to play in?

A: Divisions are categorized by age and gender.  The 3on3 Summer League is comprised of 6 divisions, separated into male and female - there are no co-ed divisions in the league.  Age is determined by the age of the player on or before December 31, 2015.  


Q: What are the age divisions?

A: - 15U: Born in 2000 (Age 15 or younger as of December 31, 2015)
     - 17U: Born in 1998 (Age 17 or younger as of December 31, 2015)
     - 18+: Born in 1997 (Age 18 as of December 31, 2015)
Please note, players are welcome to play in older age divisions, however, they are not able to play in younger age divisions (e.g. a 17 year old IS eligible to play in the 18+ division, but an 18 year old is NOT eligible to play in the 17U division).  


Q: What is a "district?"

A: A district defines which court a team will play on throughout the season.  The 3on3 Summer League has 6 current districts.  Click here for a full list of districts and viewable maps. 


Q: Am I limited to play only in my area?

A: No. Teams are able to register for any district in their division.  It should be noted that all games, with the possible exception of playoff games, will be played at the specific court a team registers for.   


Q: Am I able to register as a "free agent" or as an individual player?

A: Registration for the league is only open to teams of 4 to 5 players.  Players must be part of a team roster in order to participate in the league. 


Q: Can I play on more than one team?

A: No.  Players are only allowed to be registered to play on one team at any given time throughout the season.  All team rosters will freeze effective Wednesday, August 1, 2015. 


Q: When is the last day to register a team?

A: Registration for the 3on3 Summer League closes on Tuesday, July 21, 2015.


Q: How much does it cost to register a team?

A: The cost of registration of the 3on3 Summer League is $290.  All fees must be paid prior to being fully registered.  All payments are made online by credit card. 


Q: If my team and I decide not to play, do I get my money back?

A: The 3on3 Summer League will issue a 100% full refund for registration fees until Tuesday, July 21, 2015.  


Q: Do we need team jerseys to play in the league?

A: Team jerseys are not provided by the 3on3 Summer League.  Team members are welcome to co-ordinate and wear matching colors, but team jerseys are not mandatory in the league. 


Q: How do I enter my team's winning scores into the league website

A: Individuals who have the role of "Coach" or "Team Admin" are able to enter the "Admin Site" of their team's page when they are logged in on their account.  This function is located in the top right corner of the home page.  Once on the Admin Site, you may now enter a game's score by clicking "Schedule and Game Manager" and "Add or Edit Game Scores."
